Oof!!! What is it about a long weekend that makes the first day back to reality super busy? Either way, happy Wednesday and I hope everyone had a great weekend! I know we did! It was the spectacular Shawville Fair weekend and I was especially excited to bring Sam to his very first fair!
The festivities started out with a quick trip on Thursday night for supper and a little walk around!
We actually didn’t go to the fair at all on Friday and opted to stay in for a Movie Night In Beechgrove instead!
Saturday we ran up to the fair grounds for some yummy food! We had weekend passes and we wanted to get as much use out of them as possible! Plus there is so much yummy food at the fair that it is hard to squeeze it all in!
That evening we joined Ryan’s baseball team for a little pre-fair get together! It was a great visit and supper! There was even a special appearance from a clown who was on his way home from the Fair! While everyone else headed to the Fair we headed home to put out boy down to bed!
On Sunday we loaded up and headed to church and then to my parents for breakfast after! My parents have the softest carpet that Sam has recently really enjoyed inspecting!
On Sunday night my boys actually stayed home while I went with good friend, Jill to watch the entertainment for that night! Jason Blaine and Emmerson Drive did not disappoint!!
That night was the night from hell! Sam was like a newborn again and I think I got a total of 2-3 hours of sleep! I felt hung over on Monday morning! We slept in a bit and then got ready to head to the Fair one last time! It was Derby day! During the demolition derby is was SO hot that we only ended up staying for a very short period of time. We grabbed our last bit of snack food (cotton candy for the way home, of course!) and said “good bye” to another great fair!
How was your weekend?
xo
Sounds like a fun weekend! We didn't make it to any Labor Day festivities but we spent a lot of time with family and had a day date :)
ReplyDeleteOmg John does the same thing when I go out. He always sleeps TERRIBLE, even if I put him down before I go out! I'm dying over the pic of Sam in the flannel shirt all over again! Glad you guys had so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI miss going to the fair in my small home town :( Looks like you guys had fun though! And such a cute family you have :)
ReplyDeleteOur little town's fair is seriously pitiful. Only a couple of rides, some seriously terrible entertainment and yucky food. We don't even bother.
