Happy Wednesday everyone! The week is just flying by. Or is it the weekS that are flying by? Getting closer and closer to Christmas!
It was very exciting last week to check off a very important item off of the “Wedding - To Do” list. Getting things figured out for the handsome men in the wedding, specifically, the groom!
As I have mentioned before Ryan and I want a relaxed country wedding. So, when we started talking about what he was going to wear Ryan instantly saw this picture and thought it was perfect……
I don’t think so hunny! This bridezilla stomped down her hoof! There would be no 70’s theme at this wedding. (P.S He also thought that shorts instead of pants would be perfect for this ensemble…..oh boy!)
But we did agree that we wanted him and his guys to be comfortable and a tux just didn’t seem like the answer. Early on I had found this pictures and fell in love with the idea. I thought the dark grey suit would look so nice with the navy and yellow color scheme.
Well, let me tell you. Here, in Canada, around the Ottawa area, good luck finding a place to rent you a suit! Just a suit without all the bells and whistles of a tux rental. If it’s not a tux you want, well, forget it!
I was kind of discouraged after the wedding show that Mom and I went to because we visited three “suit” booths and NONE had suits to rent just tuxes.
I felt discouraged and finally I had caved and said, “Fine, I guess we HAVE to go with tuxes”.
Ryan and I had a dentist appointment last week and decided to get a few wedding things done together while we both already had the day off. One of those stops was at this place…
To get a couple prices and brochures and to figure out what we wanted. Well, then came another disappointment. We were limited to either getting white or black tuxes for $200.00 each.
While looking around (and looking at a suit as recommended by groomsman Luc) we discovered an AMAZING thing. Moores was having a “Buy One Get, One Free” sale. So, in other words, if you bought one suit you can get the other free! Mmmm….
It took some convincing but I got Ryan to try on many different suits while holding up a Navy tie. We (and by “we” I mean “I”) had found a suit that worked perfectly! If all the guys agreed they could have new suits, to own, for LESS then the rental tux price!
We quickly got on the horn with all the guys and they all agreed it was a smokin’ deal! Plus, a couple of them, Ryan included, needed new suits. In fact, this will be Ryan’s first suit!
Toumany fitting Ryan’s pants.
It ended up being the perfect spot, at the perfect time! The fact that we walked in during that sale was impeccable timing. We were able to find the suits for the guys instead of tuxes and at a great price! I know they are all going to look SO handsome on May 12th!
