10 Things I Love!

I am defiantly feeling the love because Kelly, Ashley and Leslie all tagged me in 10 Things I Love!

State How You Know Them:

Kelly- A super sweet blogging friend who I have been online chatting with for probably about a year!

Ashley- She is someone who is from the same Pontiac community. We met and hung out (with our dates) on my prom day afternoon!

Leslie- She is from the same town as I am, in fact, right down the road. She even babysat me at some point!

10 Things I Love

1. I love my fiance, Ryan. I could never put into words how much.

2. I love my family

and my future family "in-law"

3. I love my Chihuahua Tucker.

4. I love all of my friends! I seriously have the best friends in the world...it's O.K, be jealous! :-)

5. I love beavertails...scratch that, I love food in general!

6. I love where I work. Sometimes it's stressful but for the most part it's a lot of fun.

7. I love crafting, sewing, and cooking! Anything that gets my creative juices flowing!

8. I love flowers, gardens and of course grass!

9. I love being lazy. Ya, bad I know, but I love lounging around watching TV, movies or reading!! Don't worry I clean it too, but I don't LOVE it!

10. I love myself. That sounds really self centred but it's true. I love who and what I have grown to become.

Lastly, I have to add one more thing to this of things that I love....

I loved the ROYAL WEDDING!

I awoke this morning at 3 AM to begin watching the live feeds. I watched it at my parents and mom had prepared a special drink for us to toast to the special occasion.

Maybe it's the girl in me, but I enjoyed every moment!! It was both special and historical! I was even getting butterflies in my stomach when Kate began walking down the aisle!

Once at the office the ladies and I had to toast to the special occasion with Mimosa's and "homemade" crumpets!

Kate's dress was timeless. In 30 years from now, we don't look back onto her dress and think how "out of style" it is. It was a classic gown to suit an elegant bride.

Getting up so early was worth every second of capturing it live. The memories of this historic event I will be sure to tell to my future children.

And they lived happily ever after....

Happy Friday!

I Must Be Crazy.....

I seriously must be crazy because....

1. I plan on purposely getting up at 3 AM tomorrow morning to watch the Royal Wedding!

Side note: Maybe it's the future bride in me but I am SOOOOOOOOO friggin excited for this wedding! I'm about to pee my pants in anticipation!! TMI?

2. I thought it would be a great idea to tear up my lawn this spring so that I could get a new walkway! Now, it's raining and my walkway went from this:

To this:

My old walkway that I use to hate is beginning to appeal to me.

3. Ryan convinced me to tear out some old tree's around the front of the house when I was already tearing up the walk way! Now, it looks so bare! He must have caught me at a rare moment of weakness to convince me to do this...I loved some of those trees!!!!!

Before:

After:

4. When Clark let's out the loudest farts I think it is so cute!

5. I agreed to drive my fiance and his friends from the "middle of no where camp" to a local bar and back this weekend. It's for a bachelor party and they are all starting to drink at 11:00 AM!

6. My agenda looks like this on a daily basis....I love being organized!

7. Even when everyone else in the office is sweating their "dadunkadunk's" off I still have 3 layers of clothes on!

8. I have no idea what kind of wedding dress I want. In fact, it's one wedding detail that I don't care too much about! I haven't even searched any online!

Do you ever feel like the things you do (or don't do) are a little "crazy"? What are they?

Happy Thursday! (Royal Wedding Eve...AHH!)

A Very "Hoppy" Easter!

There are so many things that I love about holiday's!!! Getting together with family/friends, yummy food, and normally a day off work!!

I am so lucky that this weekend I got to take both the Friday and Monday off for Easter. It allowed the weekend to be totally stress free and relaxed!!

It all started on Thursday night when some girlfriends and I gathered at Sharon's for a crafty evening! We made these adorable book marks that I intend on showing off at our next book club meeting!!

Friday morning I slept in......till 9!! It might not seem late to some people but for me it was amazing!! It was an extra 4 hours then what I normally get! Being that I was so rested Ryan and I decided to check out a matinee and use up a gift card that we have been saving for a date! We saw Source Code which I highly recommend to anyone!! Very intense movie!

I had been waiting for Friday evening for almost 6 weeks! One of my best friends Amanda and her boyfriend Josh, were home to visit from Calgary!! We had supper, played Domino's till midnight, and polished off a few bottles of wine! It was such a fun visit that was LONG overdue!

Saturday morning was my families day to celebrate Easter. We had an amazing meal prepared by my Mom and cracked open our Easter poppers! The boys loved their paper crowns!

I have to say that Easter is SOOO much fun with little ones. Faith is now starting to understand the whole, "go find chocolate" part!

Her little brother Clark, was not very interested in the whole looking for eggs part but that was O.K with this Auntie (TiTi). I got to snuggle with him the whole time instead!!

Ryan and I were also remembered by the Easter Bunny with my favorite, a crispy bunny!! Yummy!

Sunday morning I awoke to realize that the Easter Bunny had shown up again this year!! There were two over filled baskets and one Easter Lily!

It was fun going through all our Easter goodies. In my basket I had Easter stick on tattoo's! Ryan and I HAD to put them on before church! Doesn't he look so tough with his bunny tattoo? ha ha!

After a beautiful Easter service at Church it was off to Ryan's parents for a visit and supper!! We had a blast in the sun shooting golf balls, playing Yahtzee and then sharing an Easter meal together! The best part of all, being together!

I am so thankful that Ryan and I both had Monday off!! I get the itch in the spring to get lots of things done around the house and it really helps having a full day to do so! It was on with rubber boots and old clothes yesterday to spring clean the yard!

All the flower beds and gardens are ready for some new plants!

It was a weekend FULL of activity but it was so much fun! I got to see most of the people that I love, all in the span of 4 days!

How was your Easter weekend?? Hope you all have a wonderful week!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

It's Wednesday, the second last day of work for the week! Can I get a "woo hoo"?

Today I'm linking up with Jaime at this kind of love to let you know what I'm loving today!

I'm Loving that tomorrow is "Friday" which means Easter weekend is here! Mmm....chocolate!

Last years loot, thanks Easter Bunny!

I'm Loving that I can soon start planting my garden!! Going to try tomatoes, dill's, garlic and of course pumpkins!

I'm Loving my new American Eagle Artist jeans! They are made long! That way I can wear a pair of heels with them and not look like I'm expecting a flood!

I'm Loving my short commute to work! 30 second walk, no traffic! :-)

Standing at the office door looking at my house!

I'm Loving that work is super busy! This means that I follow a more rigid schedule! I feel much more organized!

I'm Loving that in 388 days I'll be walking down the aisle! Too early to start a count down? I didn't think so either :-)

I'm Loving this man (and my niece and nephew too)!

What are you loving today?

Happy Wednesday!

Weekend of Food!

Last weekend it was all about crafting...this weekend was all about good food and great times!

I felt like a horrible mother to my fur baby Tucker Beans! On Thursday evening I had plans and it was his birthday!! The poor little guy had to celebrate all on his own. Ryan and I made it up to him on Friday afternoon and had a little mini celebration, spoiling him rotten!

His present this year was a little keepsake from our trip to New York.

Friday evening I was off to one of my friends, Andrea's for her birthday bash! It was a casual evening surrounded by yummy food! It was so much fun sitting around the table with these ladies chatting it up!

Saturday morning I went on a cleaning spree! I don't know if it is because it is Spring or out of boredom but the house is sparkling!

Cleaning really did pass the time though because I was SOO excited to go out with my girls for supper!! We were headed across a rocky ferry to Kelsey's to enjoy some drinks, good food (yummy spinach dip!) and lots of laughs! What would a date with the girls be without a picture to remember the evening by?

Sunday Ryan and I walked to church. This is the church that we are actually getting married in so it was fun to walk hand in hand, from the farm to church this Sunday.

It was also Palm Sunday yesterday and all the kids were out in full force for the Donkey Parade! It was so cute watching them all wave their palm branches.

After church Ryan and I relaxed at home until our supper guests arrived! We had invited Rebekka and Josh over for supper that evening! I lucked out of having to cook a big meal because everyone wanted Mae's! We kicked the boys out to pick up the food and we chatted!!

My first taste of Mae's is always a highlight of my Spring! There is nothing more that taste's like summer then food from Mae's Chip Stand.

The food was great but the company was even better! We literally laughed for an hour straight while visiting after supper! It has been way to long since we all visited, hopefully we can get together again soon!

So, as you see, my weekend kind of revolved around food and friends! Pretty awesome eh? How was your weekend?

Ahead of my time!

I (and therefore Ryan too) am going through another major renovation project! The old sticky, gross, ugly basement is (hopefully) going to be something of beauty!

In order to get started on this project I need to start going through all of my old things in there! It was a pretty easy process since most of the stuff had water damage.

It was kind of fun though! Mom had kept ALL of my old toys! Dolls, trucks, barbies, puzzles and games! I almost took out all my barbies again for old times sake and changed their little outfits.

O.K...I'm lying about that last part, I TOTALLY did take them out to the floor and play with them for a few moments. But don't worry, I didn't have any fun....O.k I'm lying again....

Here is a little keepsake that brings back LOTS of memories.

I called her Penny. She is one of my "bus friends". What is a bus friend you ask? Well, when I was little I got a little fisher price school bus like this one....

Through out the years I collected little people and would play school with them! It was my favorite pass time!

Another one of my favorite pass times....Barbies!

However, this just wasn't like any ol' barbie playing! This was work because I had to make sure I practised my future occupation of being a hair/makeup stylist!

Every Barbie deserved a beautiful makeover by one of the best stylists ever, me! I found one of these barbies the other night and I couldn't help but laugh at how "fashion forward" I was even as a little girl.

Exhibit A:

The Mohawk. My "fashionista" instincts told me to give me Barbie a beautiful Mohawk, knowing even at age 5 that it was going to be a new trend!

Punk Rock Barbie!

Exhibit B:

Tanning! Lindsay Lohan and Jersey Shore cast alike have embraced this new "orange skin" trend! Little did they know that this future hairstylist/makeup artist was WAY ahead of them and practising these techniques on my Barbie, with orange highlighter!

Guidette Barbie!

Although my dreams of being a stylist have since turned into being a farm girl I hope to one day pass on my Barbie styling techniques to generations of young girls! :-) Or not!

What was your favorite game/toy to play as a kid?

Happy Friday!

101 Update - It's about time!

For the longest time after I started my 101 things in 1001 days list it felt like I wasn't accomplishing anything! Then all the sudden BANG I started crossing things off my list.

The kick in the butt I needed (and helped me cross off alot of things) came from my cousin/friend Stacy on my birthday. She helped me cross off a bunch of things and got me going on some others!

# 96 Learn to make Ryan's Aunt Lynn's sticky buns

I actually haven't made Aunt Lynn's sticky buns but these did tide me over till then!

#68 Get a Pedometer

#69 After pedometer do an average of 10K steps a day, for 1 week. Complete!

#89 Get a set of pearls

I hope to one day get a real set but these certainly work for now!

#13 Go skiing - completed this winter!

#60 Start a new journal

The week after I received this I started writing in a journal again. It's been a great release.

#34 Organize my recipes!

Completed this in 3 binders. Sweets, main dishes and other! It's been so wonderful!

Other things I've crossed off:

#17 Visit New York

#6 Go on a shopping spree

#67 Try yoga

#66 Plant a tree

#86 Host a superbowl party

#87 Spend a whole day at a beach

#88 Buy a nice piece of jewelry

#90 Try driving a tractor trailer (It was super scary!)

#100 Go down south with a group of friends

There you have it a complete update! If you have a 101 list, how is it coming? Have you crossed off lots of items?

Hope you have a great Wednesday!
