Happy Tuesday! It was a fun filled weekend celebrating the birth of my man! But, that will have to wait till another day because it was also our “March date”.
Today, there are bigger things happening around here. Today, we are celebrating another birthday, that of our niece, Faith.
Happy 4th Birthday, baby! I can’t believe you are 4. There is something about that age that makes me think of you now as a kid. No more baby, toddler, squishy stage. Now, I think of you as a full blown child. That’s kind of scary! I can slightly remember things from the age of 4 of my childhood. That makes me think that now you will begin to have those memories too. And, I hope the make lots of happy ones with you.
Faith, you and I have always been a little bit of kindred spirits. Your daddy always jokes that “he is raising his sister” because I was so similar at that age. I think we kind of “get” each other. We can fight like we are sisters. Sometimes, I purposely try to get you going so that I can get a reaction out of you. But, your quick wit will usually catch on!
You love everything girly! You love to dress up in your princess costumes and play house in your room. Your imagination is amazing! The stories you come out with are hilarious! You love crafting, helping mommy cook, and playing with any of your princess Barbie's! You are so good at playing independently! But you are also very kind to your brother when he tries to bring a Tonka truck into your princess story line.
Soon, you will be a big sister to not just Clark but another baby as well! You prayed so hard for a new baby brother or sister! Baby #3 was a Christmas surprise to you! I hope that you will be able to remember this moment in your life! The moment a new baby came to live with you. You are already a great (and protective!) big sister and I know that you will continue to be that!
Faith, I love your spirit, your spunk, your independence and yet your ability to calm. I have to thank you for being a support for me. That may be funny to say from your 25 year old auntie but when I am having a hard time at work, before bursting into tears, I will walk over to your home to play with you for 10 minutes. I call this my “Faith Therapy” and you know what? It works! You have a way of putting things into perspective for me. Making me realize that days will be tough but that I can get through them. Thank you for helping me.
I also need to thank you for being apart of Uncle Ryan and Ti-ti’s wedding! You made such a beautiful flower girl and everyone thought you were such a champ with how well you did walking down the aisle! Just like we had practiced! Our day wouldn’t have been complete without you as one of our flower girls!
I hope that you have an amazing birthday, little buddy! I hope that all of your wishes come true, not only on your 4th birthday but on all the birthdays to come!
On your 3rd birthday
We love you very much!
Ti-ti and Uncle Ryan
