Currently...

OH another WONDERFUL winter storm day!! Have I mentioned yet that I am OVER winter? A lot of people were saying at work yesterday that today's storm "will be the last of the year". I'll believe it when I see it. Call me a pessimist, but I just don't think Spring is around the corner. I think Mother Nature is going to tempt us with a little nice weather for a while but we'll still get a little more snow and ice before it's through.

That being said, I can't change it. I am SO glad I don't have to work IN the snow like Ryan does. While I hate the snow, for work, it creates a year round business for us. I get to work inside an office and make my own rules. Today for example, I was suppose to head to our city office to work but with the forecast, it would be best if I didn't drive and do work from the office right across the road from my house! I love the availability to adjust my work schedule as need be.

I wanted to touch base with some of the "currently's" in my life right now!

I am currently...

Reading the latest book club selection Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult. I don't know why, but I have ALWAYS been fascinated with the Amish. One of my life goals is to go to Pennsylvania to visit an Amish community some day. So needless to say, I am a big fan of this book already!

Planning Sam's second birthday party! It will be a lot smaller this year and way less elaborate! We've decided on a brunch and I can't help but still have a theme! All the details are worked out with menu, decorations and activities.

Practicing endless music piano pieces! Second year of piano has been WAY more difficult then the first. There are times that it will take 2-3 weeks to perfect a piece of music. At the same time, I am really enjoying it still and feel like I can ACTUALLY play piano now. I can actually pick up a piece of music and learn it. My ultimate goal is to be able to help play piano at church. I am a few years off until I'll be able to do that but I'm going to keep at it.

Imagining my summer garden. Oddly enough, it is usually March that I start to think and plan for the upcoming gardening season. Last year was the first year of my raised garden and I will tweak a couple things. I am also planning on adding a couple more!

Wondering what my friends in the U.S think about their own election. I am only an outsider so what I read and hear about is through the media. I scratch my head and think that I would have no idea who the heck to vote for. And please, some one fill me in on the Donald Trump thing! Is he legitimately liked and why?

Saving money by using my broken deodorant. My frugality has no shame. I dropped my brand new deodorant and was unable to twist the stick up and down anymore. I was able to get the stick out and have been using this "deodorant stick" ever since. It's super annoying but I refuse to let it go to waste!

Loving that this week I saved $4526.60 a year on our new Bell TV programming! When I heard that CRTC was making satellite companies have a start up package that only included local channels (Global, CTV, CBS and etc) and a pick and pay option. I called on Monday to find our more information. I was able to get the start up package for $24.95 and then for 18$ more dollars a month, choose 10 channels. You can change these channels anytime you want! This is MORE than enough for us because we use Netflix so much now. My Bell bill went $130 a month to $42.95 a month!

What are some of your currently's?

  4. I'm kind of frustrated by this election coming up.... So.... Trump has a lot of good points yes. I'm still not sure who I'll vote for but I know who I won't vote for. A lot of people want to vote for Hilary because she's female.... You know what... my thoughts don't vote for her just because of that. Now sadly our current president has done a lot of bad in my opinion! So whoever comes in will have big shoes to fill. I'm quite worried to be honest. There's being politically correct. ha!
