First Weekend of The Hunt

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had an amazing weekend. Around these parts, the men have been counting down the days till this past weekend. For most, it was the start of hunting time! They had their guns cleaned, camo packed and out to the bush they went in search of a big buck!

For most women, this meant a weekend without the boys! And I have to admit, I kind of love it!

The weekend started out on Friday night. Mom and I had a date! First up on girls night, was a delicious supper at The Keg for a couple yummy steaks!

We then took the short walk over to the Nation Arts Centre for the live performance of Beauty And The Beast!

It was such an amazing show! My inner 5 year old self was in complete awe! Especially when Belle came out in her golden ball gown to dance with Beast!

It was a great ladies night with my mom! But I CRASHED when I got home! This girl isn’t use to staying up so late anymore! ha ha!

The next morning Ryan was off for the morning hunt and I made some homemade pumpkin muffins! After the muffins had cooled I headed to Jill's for the annual girls escape day!

Every year while the boys are away the girls get pampered! This year was no exception! After my morning coffee I headed in for my Indian Head Massage! It was so heavenly.

I then had a psychic reading and finished off my girls day with a buffet of yummy snacks and a visit with friends! Perfection!

That night I just relaxed, watched T.V and made some homemade pizza! The wind was howling a little so I made Tucker (my guard dog, ha ha!) sleep with me!

Sunday morning I woke up to him on my chest, licking my face! Yuck!

I sipped on some coffee as I got ready for church. I stood in my closet on my phone looking at Pintrest for some wardrobe inspiration. Finally, I came upon this picture.

Yes, it was November 4th and NO I’m not wearing any socks yet! I hate socks!

That afternoon I put all my fall/Halloween decorations away and puttered around the house.

For supper I made a homemade Thai Chicken Curry Soup and homemade bread! When Ryan walked in the door he was happy to have a nice warm slice of bread!

How was your weekend?

  8. Surfing around digg.com I noticed your blog bookmarked as:
Blogger: Small Town Kind of Life. Now i'm assuming you book-marked it yourself and wanted to ask if social book-marking gets you a lot of traffic? I've been thinking of doing some bookmarking for a few of my
websites but wasn't certain if it would produce any positive results. Appreciate it.

  11. I was curious if you ever considered changing the layout of your website?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two pictures.
Maybe you could space it out better?
